When her car wouldn’t start, her phone had no charge, and it was beginning to snow, Ally wondered if she’d been put on Santa’s “naughty” list. Until a knight in shining armour appeared. Well, OK, it was actually the grumpy new sheriff, Luke, and his noble steed was a police-issue SUV.
 
Luke had reason to be grumpy. His last relationship had crashed and burned, and he was in no way looking for a new little girl to care for. Not at all. Until he saw an adorable little elf, Ally, struggling to get home in the snow, clearly needing someone to take her in hand, to love and care for.
 
The little elf is low on Christmas spirits and seems to want to stay on his naughty list after she makes several bad choices, but Santa is more than willing to do what it takes to keep her safe, whether she likes it or not.
